The mission of the Lithonia Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) is to grow, strengthen and promote the economic health and vitality of Downtown Lithonia. As an autonomous agency of the City, the LDDA advocate, facilitate and execute realistic redevelopment strategies.
Our goal is to improve Lithonia through planning processes, special programs, and projects designed to advance the physical, economic and social well-being of downtown. We feel this strategy can be achieved by assisting the local stakeholders in finding community preferred solutions to community-defined issues.
How it Works:
The Lithonia DDA is an independent public agency of the City of Lithonia. The LDDA is funded by special grants and projects initiated by private developers and investors. An eight (8) member Board of Directors comprised of seven (7) public appointees and the Mayor. The Board’s policy direction is implemented by an interim Executive Director.
